Douglas & Sons (Pvt) Ltd. (DSL) the pioneer in automotive spare parts in Sri Lanka introduced to the mechanics and dealers of Ampara and Pollonnaruwa Simpson parts from Simpson & Co Ltd, India. DSL having joined hands with Simpson & Co Ltd has been appointed as the sole agent for Simpson parts in Sri Lanka.

In its efforts to serve not only the automotive sector but also the agricultural fragment of the country, DSL continuously strives to give the people of its nation value for money by bringing home genuine and quality parts from the pioneer in the field of itself.

An introductory seminar organized by DSL and conducted by representatives from Simpsons & Co. Ltd in the areas of Ampara and Pollonnaruwa on 9th and 10th February 2012 attracted over 200 tractor mechanics and agricultural dealers who are a part of DSL’s large network of dealers.

Simpsons, pioneer in the Diesel Engine Industry, are supplying their engines to various Tractor Industries, such as, TAFE (MF), Case New Holland, Eicher and Sonalika. In addition to supplying engines to these tractor manufacturers, they have a very strong and dominant presence in the Industrial Segment also.

Mr. S. Raghothaman, General Manager – Parts and Mr. M.S.A. Padmanabhan, Senior Manager – Training of Simpson & Co. Ltd, India conducted an awareness program and addressed the audience on the various technical aspects of tractor parts and also shared with them their wealth of product knowledge about the range of tractor parts in their manufacturing line. This forum was no doubt an opportunity for the dealers and mechanics also to closely associate with representatives of India’s largest tractor parts manufacturer, while clarifying questions in their areas of interest in line with agricultural parts. The forum served as a good start in itself thus paving the way in the right direction to boost the agriculture sector in Sri Lanka.
